I like Schlereth, both as an analyst and when he is doing games. He’s old school. He’s just a big ugly who happens to be in the booth but certainly knows his shit. Very similar to Baldy.
I really like Schlereth as well and I think Amin is solid as well. Doesn’t get to crazy and just calls the game.
That’s the best way to do it. A play-by-play who stays in his lane and a guy next to him who knows football and isn’t scared of calling it how he sees it.
Don’t know how I missed this.
Yes, Schlereth gets my yes-I’m-overly-opinionated-about-playcallers stamp of approval.
I do appreciate announcers that will not just overlook an injustice on the field. I think Aikman is pretty good about it, too. If there’s a bad call, I’m finding that the Owens crew is overlooking a bit too much.
I don’t appreciate the “I don’t know what constitutes a catch” play-callers. It’s your job to know. Educate yourself and make the call. Yes, the league has made it difficult, but you’re pros and getting paid pretty well.
