He’s turning into our own personal national journalist, despite being a Philly fan.
That is a good article, particularly “a mutual desperation, a shared need” referring to Goff and the Lions.
It goes on to talk about Goff being an evolved player, which aligns with comments that Collinsworth shared during the broadcast, that, strangely, we’re unable to discuss around here. Goff is able to share with Collinsworth that he had been broken by the events that occurred in LA. He and the Lions coaches are able to talk about his progression as a QB, but Den-mates get into shit-slinging every time his development is mentioned.
Leaving LA was the best thing that could have happened to Jared.
Fire hardens steel.
Hardened steel becomes a weapon.
A man that has become a weapon shuts his detractors up.
Almost there!
Awesome read. Thanks for posting.
This might belong in Nate’s Appreciate the moment thread.
I like Solak. I’ve been following him since his scouting days.
He’s an excellent writer. Good podcaster too, though I’m not sure he’s the best evaluator. I’ve been listening to him since his Draft Network days as well.
Kinda sad to see Kyle Crabbs and Joe Marino fall off a little bit. Trevor seems like he found a great gig. Not sure why those two can’t land a better spot.
Their timing was bad. Solak got promoted when Ledyard got fired and rode it to the Ringer gig, then Jordan Reid got hired for ESPN, then Trevor at PFF. Crabbs and Marino stuck around too long, probably because they were a couple of the original founders and wanted to build it. By the time they realized it was a sinking ship, it was too late.
Honestly, I always preferred the Trevor & Ledyard/Solak pod to the Draft Dudes. Especially once they brought that producer on.
