Even though he was a 7th round pick he’s one of those guys you expect to make the team. Is he still recovering from his injury, anyone know?
.
I’m not sure the Lions ever mentioned what injury he suffered.
The following was from Dr. Jimmy Liao in the past month.

If Jackson was a team player he would donate one of his knees to Kerby.
I dont know if I expect him to make the roster. If he does it will be because of his special teams prowess.
He provides us some much needed depth in our sub packages because the guy can play in traffic. Which gives me hope.
Personally I like the kid and hope he sticks but I think he’s a bottom of the roster, PS player type at the moment.
There’s decent depth in our safety room so he’s going to have trouble making the roster. If he does I think it will be due to his ST play.
I think they “redshirted” him last year.
Exactly this ^
I will add that he’s the future Tom Kennedy for the DB room
He was one of many that got hurt in rookie camp last year, hence for it not happening this year
But i think hes got a decent shot to make it this year because of all the injuries up top of the DB room.
Once Branch and Kerby come back, he’ll likely be demoted to the PS.
.
This is NOT true.
Jackson played in the Hall of Fame game (7/31/25), and tied for the most tackles on the team.
He was injured in a training camp practice on 8/3/25.

Oh your right. i always thought everyone wad hurt early in the off season not in pre season. my bad
God there really is nothing Lions worthy to talk about right now.
And THAT… is the update.
