They were talking about game tonight…how Bill is gonna take TJ Watt out of the game
Pagano:
“That’s fine they have help on the other side. But if your Detroit & you are Hutchinson, you’ve got no help on the other side”

Until Bruce showed up KOing QB’s into next week.
Houston and Irvin then get suh sounds like some help
Time to happen
When a washed up retired Bruce Irvin is the knight in shining armor you know your pass rush sucks. Pagano is right.
The sky is blue

It does suck unfortunately.
Only time you can count on it getting home is at the end of Chicago games.
There’s no doubt that they need to do something different in the offseason. The question is whether it will be a combination of trade, free agency, and draft? With the Lions entering their window, do you really just draft a rookie and hope you get it right? Do you shell out the mega deal for a proven winner? Do you sink resources into acquiring a known commodity? Do you cheap out on a new set of reclamation projects? Stand pat ?
Brad and Dan have shown themselves to be pretty shrewd when it comes to talent evaluation. They have also emphasized that they have a concept of where they want to be and a process to get there. I don’t see them deviating from their process to bring in a high priced free agent edge rusher, whether by trade or free agency. They talk about having a “sustainable” team that can compete every year–that suggests they do not believe in bringing in a short-term solution. A Bruce Irvin for half a year is one thing, given the total lack of production at the right edge and Houston’s injury. So, I don’t believe Brad will part with any draft capital in order to get help on the right edge. He’ll find a solution in the draft.
Come on Natty. Tell him what we are going to do this off-season to fix that D-line

If Lions want to be a contender they will have to address the talent on defense some how. Enough with the reclamation projects on the Dline.
There’s a hysterical Mel Brooks story about this scene.
When asked if he ever got in trouble with censors (yeah, the US had them!), he said they took the last part of this scene out.
When she says, “Oh!, It’s twue, it’s twue!”, there is a beat of silence—then Cleavon Little says “I hate to disappoint you miss, but yo sucking on my arm!”
yup - agree.
…buuuut…they’re not az far off az ppl think. ONE great pass rusher & this thing looks totally different. 2 good pass rushers & we are amazing - top 10 at least.
I don’t know what to make of AG.
Love him as a man & a culture fit.
Would love to see him turn it around.
Not sure if he can…
BUT…
Philosophically, in being more aggressive up front and manning up on the back side. He wanted to do that in his second year, failed, switched it up, and did a little better late season.
He still wants to be more aggressive up front.
Mayyyybe he’s a scheme guy that can succeed if given the right pieces?
Maybe the right pieces are coming?
I feel that may be a stance of Brad and Dan?
If so, it’s a gamble. I agree with those that say AG lacks creativity. Instead of an innovative type, he’s a scheme guy, much like Lambo was as our OC, when he took CJ out of the slot and made him 100x more defensible on the outside?
I dunno what the future looks like?
I DO think the D improves massively on talent alone next season, as we will upgrade some positions. Commish, Buggs, Okwara x 2, etc…you cats are fringe bubble players that are fighting for your life, effective as soon as the last snap of our playoffs happens…that’s gonna help a lot.
I don’t know what to do with AG. I DO trust others within the regime to replace and likely upgrade. With us making the playoffs, we won’t make a rash decision, and there will be no scapegoat for what the D does…especially if they have a decent showing in the playoffs.
The 2 guys we lost for most of the season were teh wrong guys to lose. Gardener-Johnson is a difference maker for sure. Houston potentially is too.
I think CJGJ will be back at or near 100%. I’m not sure Houston can be game ready with the injury he had, but would be juuuuust tickled if he could be.
Gonna be tough sledding without 3 of our top 5 defensive guys (McNeil out…Maybe 4 of top 5…is AA playing?)
Gonna be NBA scores until those cats come back.
We are right now! We are currently projected at 8% to win the SB folks…. Only five teams have a higher projection
We have the second best record in the NFC and still have a chance at both the 1/2 seed!!!
We can’t be perfect folks, but yes we can be better but come on!’
Respectfully you are all looking at this 9-3 team half empty instead of half full!!!
Love you all!
Right now, he’s not wrong.
What’s interesting to me is the the thread showing the play with GB and NOLA using 2 TE’s to box in hutch and then run same routes to roast us in back to back weeks.
Why wouldn’t Glenn and Co just have Hutch consistently move to weak side and for OL to have to make a call and adjust?
