Anyone else think Will Ferrell isn't funny?

Not a fan of his humor. A few of his movies are ok overall. Tallageda Nights is a thumbs up.

When you do as much as he’s done, there’s gonna be some clunkers.

But Anchorman and Old School are genius. Sherlock Holmes, uh isn’t.

Please tell me someone has already mentioned “The Other Guys.” Funniest Ferrell comedy by far IMO.

Must admit, haven’t seen that one. Perhaps, I should check it out.

Its the buddy cop part that makes it so funny. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell and how angry Mark is about everything, especially how hot Will’s wife is.

Speaking of comedy… are any of you following Elon Musk’s ongoing twitter meltdown? :flushed:

I find a lot of his movies to be hilarious, countless funny movies. Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Old School, Elf, Step Brothers, Blades of Glory. Doing improv is not his thing and he’s a painfully boring interview. In a scripted role he excels but live, no.

Ferrell is definitely at his best in skits. He can play serious for a little while, but in part because of his career everyone is just waiting for him to get crazy.

He’s not really being goofy here, but at the end he lets the freak out.

Absolutely. Definitely considering shorting TSLA.

Shorting stocks and buying Bitcoin like crazy right now.

Anchorman, Stepbros, and Old School are all time classics. There is no denying that IMO.

I’m there with you. Both he and Rob Riggle have zero humorous appeal to me. Like Pauly Shore, their routines are completely void of wit. There’s nothing clever or funny about any of their work.

I don’t short stocks personally. I do think that Tesla is a bubble (and possibly even a fraud,) but bubbles can go on far longer than we expect at times.

I can absolutely see the logic in you doing so though if you do go short though. Don’t really understand enough about crypto to comment on that.

To be honest I wasn’t even bringing it up from an investing standpoint. Just from a human interest standpoint it’s been a wild morning on his Twitter account.

Dan Aykroyd has Asperger’s. So I think you are right that he can really add a truly unique perspective off camera. I liked a lot of his 80s movies as a kid. I can’t say that I find him to be hilarious.

I actually think of those 70s/80s SNL guys Martin Short might be the most naturally funny per my tastes. You have to like that “spastic” style of humor though.

I must say…
He has talent. He slipped into character amazingly well. Tim Conway well.

We could spend days going over the talent that has graced their set.

I have always loved this video.

Bill Hicks was the greatest. Followed by a cluster of other solid artists.

I can’t stand the guy. Nothing funny about him. Just stupid, immature, and too far off beat, for me.
