Sorry, we could win the Super Bowl and unless we win out from here, I would still say the Ditka/Buddy Ryan Bears were the best team of all time. And the 49ers under Montana…up there behind the Bears.
If we win out and do it in convincing fashion…then maybe.
And the Patriots team that lost to the NYG in the Super Bowl would still be up there above the undefeated 71 Dolphins team.

I am not ready to put this team over the Ditka’s Bears and the Patriot team that won 18 straight even though they got beat in the Super Bowl…unless we win out in convincing fashion

The great players didn’t leave teams after 4/5 years then hop teams every year or two. It was easier to build a dynasty back then. The 49ers and Patriots were unbelievable teams for a long time. The Bears to me were the best team ever but the disfunction of Ditka and McMahon and McMahon’s injuries kept them from being a long term force.
