The Detroit Pistons, allegedly, want to ease Ausar Thompson in after missing eight months following a blood clot diagnosis.
Thompson only played 16 minutes in his season debut Monday, but that included the game’s most important stretch as the Pistons and Toronto Raptors exchanged blows late in the game.
He made one of the biggest plays of the night, giving the Pistons a 96-95 lead — their first lead of the final period — after connecting with Isaiah Stewart on a baseline cut and layup with 2:08 left in the final period.
