B1G tournament

Because there’s commercial breaks.

Think about it this way: if the tournament meant anything, then why even have a conference schedule in-season?

Good point.

Nothing against uofm. But they already have the seeds picked. Its really BS though. I feel for uofm fans they should have gotten at least a 4. But probably a 3. I think what hurt them was the end of the year.

There’s a correlation between an early conference tourney exit and performing better in March Madness.

Just last year, Alabama lost their first game in the SEC tournament and went to the Final Four.

When Michigan won the B1G Tournament in 2018…they went to the Final Four

Correlation does not = Causation

Also, I forgot to add in that last post that Auburn won the SEC tournament last year and then lost to 13 seed Yale in their first game.

Right…which is why I used the example that I did!

Fair point. Especially with the final 64 being win or go home. Be a shame to see a player get injured or a team be exhausted when it doesn’t even impact tournament seeding. Like getting hurt in a preseason football game.

Was Hunter Dickinson leaving Michigan what made us a better team?..or would we have been just as good had Hunter stayed?

Uofm won 8 games last year, and Hunter wasn’t on the team . Plus May added a full team of transfers, and that was smart on his part

Didnt have a lot of choice on transfers, only two or three players stayed after Howard was fired. Cant really blame the players who left, last year was a shit show, putting it kindly.

Yes i know. Could you imagine the mess if the transfer thing wasn’t out of control. I wouldn’t be surprised if may lands 4 more transfers next year as well. I wish izzo could get a big who can dominate the paint.

Bama is this player away from back to back national championships.

Having Howard’s kids on the team is what I believe was Howard’s demise.

Their were plenty of rumors to that for sure, however, nothing but praise for the one who stayed. He has gotten little to no playing time as well.

I think losing his best players after one year helped do him in as well. Michigan basketball doesn’t recruit well enough to bounce back from one and done’s. Just my observation as a Golden-Domer, another school who doesn’t give a shit about basketball.
