Back to the basics! (Draft)

Did Brad get a bit full of himself after 3 years of success? I think he did, I also think he became aware.
Good take from an outside source:

Don’t draft bad players. Only draft good players. Profit.

Or don’t believe you can turn size and atletic skills into NFL players.

Draft long term players who could be leaders on and off the field, always healthy about.

I simply can’t get the critical… I have to give the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise…. And that’s not what we got and can’t get as we can’t read his mind nor the rest of the leadership.

Maybe? BH is simply doing the next right thing… honest, self evaluation that includes peer feedback.

When I took over the first time ever as a NCOIC I learned on the job. But several year in I was more experienced and adjusted as I could see both my flaws and strengths…

Maybe He looked back over mainly the last two years as a whole and found areas that needed adjustments? Dan, Sheila and Christ all probably had inputs as well….

I LOVE seeing what appears to be humilty and growth….

I’ll take that on the rocks please!:innocent::double_exclamation_mark:

you cannot get the critical? in another thread, I said I had become a Lions’ fan in 1978 (i was 5). 48 years later, our defense is still soft-I AM critical about that. I began coming to the DEN in like 2000-give take, I have never seen a strong defensive line in Detroit. I know injuries happen-yet that stance is getting tired. and I don’t think I’m being batshit crazy.

Look up the Lions D-Line during the 2011-2012 seasons, led by Suh and Avril.

What gave it away? Was it the “I gots the REECEIPTS! Suck it!!” after the team had some playoff success but didnt actually even get to the superbowl or win a championship ?

It was the “I gots the REECEIPTS! Suck it!” after the team had some playoff success but didnt actually even get to the superbowl or win a championship, wasnt it….

I get what article is trying to say but some of the points are reaching.

Lions skip joint practices and that’s a clear sign we don’t want to draft “project” players? Yea, I don’t think so.

A Dan Campbell quote that is generic?

I get the point but Yawn

yet this team has played in the NFL for 95 years, since 1930., Suh hasn’t played for us in years and Avril -I can say the same.

maybe it was the infamous “we’re good” declaration?

I don’t know that I’d cut out all the project 7th rounders. But let’s not trade up in the 3rd round to get the project 7th rounder. That would be a good start. Furthermore, if we could just cut out the trade ups all together, I’d think we would be better off.

trade ups and downs are fine, as long as the moves are certainly worth it. you don’t do them on a whim, or just because they have “promise”, they have to be damn good.

Yet….

We have the second longest, consecutive winning seasons in a row (4) currently…

You have to go back to 1931-39 to find the only longer streak.

Winning the SB is the only goal each season period.

However, this is the second most successful team in a four year period we have ever had and some still have to nit pick

Think about folks :innocent:
