Sanders was part of the search committee, supposedly. That being the case, I find his comment actually a bit reserved.
Listening to Sanders in casual interviews he definitely paints a picture that he’s just kind of there for moral support. He definitely painted a different picture than what Spielman is doing.

I just love how Barry is this small, shy, slow-moving human. You would never in a million years expect him to show up the way he did on a football field.
