Bears urged to replace Matt Eberflus with 'creative' Lions coordinator |

Lets see where he could plausible end up.

Jets- He aint touching that Fukushima level meltdown.

Bears- In division? Ehhhh

Carolina- Ownership issues. New GM incoming though.

Las Vegas- Maybe.

Cleveland- No one wants that job

Would the Dolphins dump Nerd Boy for Ben? Probably. Freaking scary to give him Tua Tyreek Waddle Achane etc

Dallas- Maybe

Giants- See Cleveland and Jets

Jacksonville- A lesser maybe.

I think Jacksonville might be the juiciest out of those options. They have pieces over there, but the coaching is pretty sub par IMO.

I donā€™t think he goes anywhere near that. I truly believe the ā€œopportunityā€ to coach ā€œAmericaā€™s Teamā€ is viewed way differently by BJ than it is other coaches.

Agreed. And the least bad ownership situation. ALL of the rest of the options @Weaselpuppy listed are train wrecks at the very top. Khan has just made awful hiring decisions, but heā€™s not a meddler and he cares, so heā€™ll shell out the money if his GM tells him to. Itā€™s just always the wrong GM.

After Jerod Mayo instills some toughness in the team and they acquire some talentā€¦

I could see Ben Johnson coach for the Patriots.

He started his Coaching Career at Boston College, played ball at UNC.

Seems like an East coast guy

Could also see Jacksonvilleā€¦said that last year he would stay and they would be the front runners next year for him.

Hope they opt for AG instead

Thatā€™s New Orleansā€¦

Doubt they go Defense minded 2 times in a row

Maybe heā€™s waiting for that Cowboys job. Itā€™s probably opening up soon.

Iā€™ve always heard itā€™s more important to them that itā€™s a ā€œNew Orleansā€ guy. Someone whoā€™s coached there before. That would narrow the options substantially.

Honestly now that I think of itā€¦

The Saints make the most sense for Ben Johnson

Thatā€™s the closest resemeblence to Sean Payton they will find.

Theyā€™re not a train wreck at the top either, but theyā€™ve got a LONG way to go at QB and on the OL. That will make them less enticing. And Loomis might be past it as a GM, but it doesnā€™t seem like ownership has any interest in firing him. He basically runs the team. I think AG would be all for it since he and Mickey apparently have a good relationship, but Ben? I donā€™t know.

I could always be wrong of course, but Iā€™m very suspicious of Breer on this one. (and what he actually said was ā€œI heard that was the one he wanted.ā€.)

Makes zero sense.

No way the Dolphins fire Nerd Boy

It actually makes a great deal of sense. Established defense. Elite qb prospect that the FO is locked into and lots of weapons. Now i will believe he leaves when the ink has dried on his new contract w the new team and adam schefler has announced itā€¦but team perspective it makes sense. A counterpoint would beā€¦in the same division as dan and lafluer and Kocā€¦really?

Bears vs Lions would be an epic rivalry for next decade

Prior to becoming HC Payton had never coached there. I donā€™t think Jim Mora did either

I donā€™t really see passing up promotion opportunities. But being the coach that Caleb busts under doesnā€™t sound like the greatest opportunity.

Maybe Caleb doesnā€™t bust under himā€¦

Right, since Loomis took over with Payton. I know theyā€™ve only made one official change, but apparently he said in an interview that understanding what the Saints were about is important, ever since then their fans have been shooting down anyone who hasnā€™t already coached there.
