This also speaks volumes about what Holmes and DC are doing.
We are truly, finally building something special

This is what MCDC meant when he said that if he or Brad asked for something ownership would help them.
For sure, coaches want to stay, players want to stay. The reputation of the team is really changing. That is really going to help with retaining players, attracting free agents, UDFAâs, and new scouts/coaches in the future. Great to see.
Next step make things right with Calvin and get him back in Ford Field.
Maybe it wasnât all about money. Not saying they didnât give him a raise, but maybe he realized that those jobs can be there next year or the year after that. If heâs as popular as people think, his time will come and perhaps he can take the job he wants, not one he feels like he has to settle for.
Fair point!
The allure of money is a huge draw but heâs got a great future ahead of him and should get more opportunities. On the flip side, the guy was a coordinator for 1 year!?! How many young, inexperienced coaches have had success as a coordinator and then got crushed as a head coach when they had to manage so much more than they were ready for? Being a good play caller doesnât not mean you know how to run a whole team
I think the mistake these teams make is they hire head coaches who are not alpha male football leaders. Sorry but i dont think ben will be a great head coach. Now aaron glenn might be a better head coach than a co ord. Dont be surprised if he gets one of these jobs
I hope youâre right. I was thinking about starting a thread about how many millions we pay players and for a few million more that doesnât count against the cap, we can get the most out of them with the right coach. A good sales manager makes less than some of his salesmen, he moves on and all of a sudden the salesmen arenât performing as well.
I think the band is coming back together for one more year at least⌠the loyalty is strong

lets goooo!

So glad we can now focus on mock drafts and hypothetical trades for the next 4 months
Trade Ben for a 1st!
Love it. I did think he was back this year anyway but didnât expect it to be because he was deciding to stay on his own!

I was thinking about starting another Chark thread as we speak. lol also trade Decker and move Sewell to LT. Probably draft a QB 6th overall. That should trigger almost everyone. haha oh and bring back Tavai, we should be able to get him back for a mid rounder.
BOOM Bitches!!!
Personally, I think they would have been fine if he moved on but nice that weâll have this beautiful genius calling plays for the Lions for one more year.
Wooooooooooooo!!!
Yeah we totally need to now trade Decker, draft a tackle, and a guard, then resign Chark for $15 a year, then probably trade st brown because I mean we could get another first for him probably⌠move Okudah to safety, draft the best kicker we can in the 2nd rd, trade our 1st rd picks down for multiple more picks and also draft a qb⌠then like, I dunno, maybe see if we can get a first in 2025 for Goff.
Think I covered everythingâŚ
