Really good film breakdown of Ben’s offense. As we all know our running game sets up our passing game… this video shows how they do it. It’s fricken great. From personnel groups masking future plays, to how they use trap/wham and empty sets with the threat of the run, and of course PA.
This also got my imagination going with our TE group of Mitchell, Laporta, Wright and Zylstra.
Gibbs is going to be an amazing weapon for Ben. So thankful they signed Monty

I was still stunned how quickly the big man can move.
He really is a unique talent… and cool to see Ben Johnson has found ways to utilize his talent as a blocker…. and of course… against the Viqueens…. as a receiver!!!

I remember there was discussion of how Johnson sought input from Goff on what he preferred to run on offense.
I have to wonder how much of this creativity that we have seen has come from Goff’s ideas on how the offense should work. He was with McVay for 4 seasons… so that is a lot of hours spent with a Shanahan disciple recognized as a coach that is a premier play caller in the league…. I think that was really underrated experience by the media when the trade occurred.
Good point on the Goff/McVey time together and what Goff learned from him and bringing it to Detroit’s offense. I hadn’t thought of that prior.

Well said. He’s an amazing talent for sure. I love how our team optimizes their guys instead of containing them to their traditional roles.
One of the two Ben J podcasts linked showed how Ben J used the same play just flipped the field with it. Had a split screen shot showing it. Goes to your point on how BJ has found ways to use him.
