What if everyone is doing that?
That’s kinda what they do. That’s what makes different opinions.
So here’s how I would play it. Is your friend someone who will expect YOU to pay up if you lose? If so, then I won’t feel bad about accepting money from him. However, because I like having fun, if you win, I’d tell him to use the money to buy a Jared Goff or Gibbs jersey, and he has to take a picture wearing it. That’s fun and fair.
The last time I bet a Bears fan on their records…the Lions went 0-16.
Easy money @BigNatty
Shoulda bet on that 4-0 preseason record!!
100%

Make a bet with him that Da Bears will be playing in Indiana in 2033.
Bet him to shave his head when he loses.
You sure about that?
I know a fanbase that did nothing but lose for over 7 decades who, after 2 winning seasons, acted like their sh** smelled like roses and every other team in the division was trash. They trash talked division rivals who did nothing but dominate them during those decades. They ridiculed their coach and GM who brought them out of the gutter by calling them gambler and mocking them with “we’re good” snark.
You sure about that “wide” margin thing?

pretty sure, yup!
Now that is a well made point that can certainly change my opinion!
This point definitely changes my perspective of everything I’ve seen and heard from this fanbase since they started winning a few games.
What was I thinking???
My own snark and sarcasm aside - I can’t be the only one who noticed the Lions fanbase went from humble and intelligent to…something other than that over the last few years? I know it’s a bit expected as with some success come the tourists.
To be clear - I’m not calling out the kind of people on this message board…more the callers who dial up 97.1 and scream to fire Holmes because he didn’t give Gibbs’ money to (insert Madden star name here).
No one else noticed this shift?
Nah - I work too much.
I’m the exact same cat I’ve always been… can’t speak for others
