Black bear spotted in town

Damned if I’m gonna let a bear attack my female when she has cubs.

Mama bear vs Bigfoot.

Who you got and why?

How many miles as the crow flies is that from you?

I feel like northern ontario is quite big.

Bigfoot would probably make love to her and add her to his heroim of sows.

Bigfoot hands down, they fight Grizzly Bears, take on Elk, wolves, and anything unfortunate enough to mess with them, forest people have chests four foot wide and some can reach 12 foot tall , a Black bear doesn’t stand a chance- unless they fight a juvenile.

We rented a cabin in the Gatlinburg mountains a few years ago. There are bears crawling all over the place. We had four separate encounters right around the cabin and a couple more when we were out on excursions. This was the first one we saw right from our deck balcony.

If we are going here, then they might as well take care of two issues and offer a Beary Delicious Meal.

It’s very rare for a black bear to attack a human but it does happen. It’s even rarer for them to kill a human but it’s happened enough times that people should be cautious.

Most all black bear attacks happen when a female has a cub near by.

I was sitting in my tree stand back in the 90’s. Eating some Sarah Lee cinnamon rolls when in walks a Bear Cub. The Cub walks right up to my tree, looks up at me, sniffs and starts climbing the tree. It could smell the cinnamon rolls and wanted some. So I instinctively tossed it a cinnamon roll. It jumps down to eat it and that’s when I saw Momma…. She comes charging in, grabs the cub by its neck takes it to safety and then comes back toward my stand, looking at me 20’ up in the air and snapping her jaw the entire way to the base of my tree. She then gets on her hind legs and shakes my tree. Like to shake me out of it. Needless to say come dark time I was a bit concerned to get down.

And so much more. We’re both in therapy and apparently I’m not allowed within 500 ft of Gatlinburg. Pffft.

Oh that was me at 32 or 33. I didn’t give a shit then. Haha

I refused to get in the cage until the Tigers ate some dinner. I watched him eat 2 full chickens. And then I went in.
