The fact that Brad Allan mentioned this only proves his guilt. It does not matter if skipper declared eligibility every other play before hand. But the fact that Allan mentions it leads me to believe that he got confused. Everyone on the planet saw Decker approach the official, have a conversation, wipe the front of a shirt which is the signal for eligibility, and saw Allan nod at him. The fact that he continues to tell this lie makes it quite apparent that he is not a trustworthy NFL official. He needs to be fired on Tuesday.
The Wildcard with Seattle was a HORRIBLY reffed game though. It may not have changed the outcome, but the Lions were complaining loudly about it after the game.
17 penalties against the Lions “was not a factor in the outcome.”
They killed several drives on phantom and/or suspect calls. One drive stalled after we had 1st and goal from the 1 yard line. Eric Ebron caught the TD but was called for a phantom offensive pass interference penalty. We scored on the next play, but they threw a holding flag. Then we had a good gain on the next play, so they threw another holding flag. Next thing you know we are backed up to 1st and damn near 30 yards to go. All starting with a bonus OPI call that was a touchdown.
NFL saying its partly the Lion’s fault for trying to fool the Cowboys so well, that it fooled the refs.
Remember when Goff did a handoff fake against Seattle that was so good that it drew a late hit? Yeah, now their saying Goff deserved that hit for being so sneaky and the lions are being fined for unnecessary effectiveness.
