Z is not washed up. He has a 74 rating and 9 sacks last year. I doubt more than 2 edges in this entire class do that in 2025

This seemed incredible to me, so I started looking for other teams where this is true. Surprisingly, its not that unusual. I looked at the first 16 teams alphabetically (Arizona through Kansas City), and four others have every player from the last four years still in the league. Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Houston. Since I only looked at 16 teams, there’s likely others.
Plus, you have to look at the whole.
Hutch, Alim, Reader, Z, is a great Dline. Now, start subbing.
We won 15 games with this unit, last season.
Yes if we lose Hutch again to a season ending injury we are screwed. But that’s pretty much true of any team that loses a guy who was heading towards DPOY honors.

You have justij rogers who studies Brad’s drafts and is the best and understanding what he is doing and then you have a bunch of really unintelligent people who are more worried about being able to say “i told you so”…so brad has told the beat guys for years what he is about and how he works. Go listen to the tessla interview…how many times can you ask the same stupid question 4 years running? The lions beat intentionally sucks…and then you have hacks like payton who started a jamo trade clockbait drama based on REDDIT. There like one or two beat guys who are good…rest suck. They have daily access to brad and ask the same stupid questions…the contempt for them is real. Rogers talks about it, risdon talks about…guys who were local and national talk about it. It’a a microcosm of the sanders talk on a national level “why is he dropping? What is going on?” Gotta save face bc u said he was a top 5 talent…reality is he is an average qb with no elite traits, a headache for a dad and a HUGE entitled diva complex…its not really a surprise he fell…but they create narratives ans cling to them no matter what.

So what? We lost a game.
We literally just drafted the guy with plus athleticism, great character, and he had 22 sacks and 33 TFL in D1 the last 2 years.
