I will concede there were more positive posts in your history than I expected to see. I was wrong to say “every” post is negative / whiny / gritless - whatever word you want to use.
You can be sure you’ll receive a ton of support and be told you’re right because you own the place. All I’m asking is to see a little more grit out of “the godfather” when things get a little bit tough.
Whenever I catch myself emoting with no grit I like to ask myself if MCDC would ever talk or think the way I am currently talking or thinking. It helps to end the gritless emoting immediately and strengthens my resolve.

Just kidding. I’ll be the first to admit that I wear my emotions on my sleeve. This is a safe space. We should all feel free to let it rip. That said, I do like your Dan “filter”. Gritless is a great word. I will try to adopt more often.

Love this as well. Genuinely, I don’t like…mean any hate or anything by calling it out. And I certainly do understand this is a message board so a little bit***** and moaning is absolutely necessary.
I just see “The Godfather” and then (unfortunately) tend to stumble on what are likely some of the more “heat of the moment” posts and just started to think of Johnny Fontane.
A few years ago my wife called me out in a way that I absolutely hated. She (fairly) called me out for acting like a little bi*** whenever the Lions lost or things for the Lions didn’t go my way. She didn’t say it because she doesn’t love me…she said it because she does. It gave me a lot to think about even though all I wanted to do at the moment was toss her on out the window head first lol.
Without her calling it out and asking me “Is this what MCDC would act like"?” I never would have learned to control my Lions-related emotions in any capacity…but I’m glad that I have learned to do so. Thanks to her and Dan Campbell, I feel like I’ve grown and am pretty happy about it…it feels good.
Thoughts like “Ratledge is the worst” changed into “Ratledge could use some more reps and developing for sure…prob worth monitoring to see if he becomes the RG of the future or not so they know to either target one in FA or the draft”, for example.
So yeah, nothing but love…that’s where I’m coming from. You are The Godfather, sir…not Johnny.
Note - This doesn’t apply to calling out the Lions faults and miscues. I get that and my call out was in no way shape or form targeted at that. This only applies to the “Dan is a liar” | “Ratledge is the worst of all time” kind of stuff we expect to see from low IQ trolls.
