Branch in walking boot

Brian Branch R ankle sprain video
-Concern for high ankle sprain. Ext rotation and foot gets slightly trapped.
-Carted off
-Hope XR negative

.

Has 10 days until Rams game….
hope he has a speedy recovery like ARSB.

Also hope he doesn’t need tight rope surgery after MCDC mentioned possible long term injury.
.

Walking boot and crutches. He’s done.

Have no fear - Simmons wants to play for a contender, we fit that definition. Will we sign him? There’s a better chance of a Unicorn landing in my driveway today.

Let’s get Iffy back. Then we can be sure we get a draft pick too.

Every time I read any of your posts all I think is:

“Imagine if the actual godfather did nothing but endlessly whine and moan like this?”

C’mon man with the endless negativity and complaining.

No hate - just calling it like I see it. I’d still go cut off a horses head for ya but jfc.

Endless negativity? Yes, I’ve been negative after or during a loss. Probably too negative. I can own that. I’ve also been positive, particularly in the last week and last several posts IF YOU BOTHERED TO READ ANY OF THEM, which you clearly haven’t.

And saying Branch is “done” because HE WAS ON CARTED OFF THE GODDAMN FIELD, WITH CRUTCHES AND IN A WALKING BOOT isn’t me being “negative.” It’s me using common sense. The fact you decided to use that post as an example of me being negative is absurd.

And now somehow I’m not a man.

Good grief.

I mean you were confirmed to be right… soooo

Yup.

He was carted off the field.

He was in a walking boot.

He was using crutches.

All I said “he’s done.” Which any sane human being would think if they saw that after the game—in fact, I even think Birkett said it.

But I said it and now I’m no longer a man. JFC.

Some people would rather I be a cheerleader for anything the Lions do. But the thing is, I don’t work for the Lions. They have the highest priced tickets in the league. They’ve underperformed this year. And my last several posts were OVERTLY positive because I DO see a light at the end of the tunnel, whether it’s this season or next. Like, Christ almighty.

I try to be as “positive” as I can be. Literally nothing wrong with saying he was “done” after he was carted off the field, in a boot with crutches, and even more damning, when Dan had no info after the game. Usually if it’s not bad, Dan will say something. Him saying he’ll know more in the morning was telling.

There’s about 500 better examples he could use to attack me for “being negative.” This was an odd one. But whatever. If someone wants to ignore everything I’ve posted in the last week so they can fit their narrative about me, god speed. I don’t care.

As for Branch: it absolutely sucks.

Why branch got injured all the time, have you seen durable players like Terrell suggs and Antwan boldin ? Too many injuries, I think branch style of play means more injuries ,have you noticed he didn’t even get hit to sprain the ankle

Torn achilles apparently

So Nate proved to be correct , branch done for the year ,when saying facts why we see it as negative? I got a good night f bomb yesterday :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:, not saying anything personal about posters here , just talking about players only, please don’t be attached too much to players even if they belong to your alumni

You do get emotional in the heat of the moment but it’s just your passion for the team showing out in your postings, nothing wrong with that. Thinking Branch was done after seeing him getting cart off seemed completely reasonable. It wasn’t as obvious in the moment as the Hutch injury was for instance but it was obviously bad.

Maddox played his heart yesterday, I want players who can stay in field

I like to bust Nate’s balls (and others) for good banter because it feels easier than being pissed when the Lions play like ass, but I know it just comes being overly emotionally invested like everyone is. Nate is good at taking the jabs, throwing them back, making fun of himself, or eating crow if needing to.

Kind of the whole point of the forum thing.

This is why i tried to highlight yesterday how far we have come that we are frustrated with 8-5. This organization has turned a corner and changed the standard, they have more work to do and injuries will come and go… but i personally would rather have (looking likely) 3 straight double digit win seasons with multiple playoff appearances to anything the lions have done since bobby layne.

The individuals that want to call out brad and dans issues, i get it they arent perfect, but we also need to take a step back and enjoy the fact that they have gotten us outta the cellar in a way that we have never been before since the damn merger. There are always thing they could have done better or players they shouldnt have taken a chance on, absolutely hold them accountable and we should not allow the organization to receed back into the depths through complacency but 8-5 mostly controling your destiny.. not entirely happy with it but dammit that is 100% because of what this front office and MCDC has done. They have raised the bar for us and i will always give them the opportunity to try to continue to do so as long as they dont allow us to go back to the hell of irrelevance.

Do you play any sports? Just trying to understand your thinking to see you are casual fan or play a sport in side always ?

Played football and baseball for about 12 years and basketball for 6. Have coached multiple teams. The idea that you cant be happy with progress while not being satisfied is foreign to you and makes you question my “credentials” so to speak?

Will add that i have been watching and rooting for all the detroit teams and michigan since i was like 5. The idea that i should even justify to you, someone that called a professional athlete “barbie”, is comical
