It’s not a great joke – everyone should know Goff has a no-trade clause in his contract. And the compensation isn’t balanced. Anyone who’s fooled by this is a fool.

Mel Kiper, after disappearing for a suspiciously long time, just gave the Lions an A+ for this year’s draft, and changed his grade for the Lions for last year’s draft to an A+ as well.

The best jokes are the ones that actually fool people.
For example, back in college (way back) I lived in a house with like 6 or 7 other people. One of them, Dan, had a fancy sports car which he kept in the backyard. He was very paranoid about it being stolen, so he unilaterally installed security lights on the side of the house, over the driveway, which were activate by a motion sensor.
Well, those of us who appreciated “porch culture” (cough, cough) were not too happy about this, because it was a very sensitive system that constantly kept switching on, whether it was the cat or the wind blowing through a bush or what have you, and the very bright light interfered with our nighttime porch culture aesthetic.
Dan had wired the security system to a light switch at the side door of the house. We would preemptively turn it off to preserve our evening darkness. He would turn it on. We would turn it off. Then he started taping the light switch into the on position. It was a battle.
So one day, when he wasn’t home, I rewired the light switch, reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. Taped the light switch in the “on” position as before, but now it was actually off.
Dan had no idea, and it drove him nuts. Twice he pulled out the ladder to take down the lights to diagnose the problem – thinking it was bad light bulbs or something like that. This went on for several days, and we enjoyed our peace and quiet on the front porch.
Finally, he announced that that the system was crap and he was going to go out and spend some big bucks on a top-of-the-line security system. So I confessed. He didn’t understand until I removed the duct tape and switched the light switch to the “off” position, at which point the lights on the side of the house promptly came on. He was chagrinned that we went to such lengths, and stopped being such a busybody about it, and we agreed to make sure the security system was on before we went to bed.

I am assuming you are being sarcastic on that point also. Because Shedeur is not a mobile QB. Sure compared to our beloved statue he has wheels but otherwise…
I am not ant-Shedeur…I feel the same about him as I do JJ. Nice kids, appears to be solid teammates and citizens. But it is much more likely neither becomes a top 10 QB in the league than anything. So call me when they are serviceable.
What is kind of crazy is that it appears non if Deon’s kids got his speed. That dude was one of the fastest humans on earth when he played.
As far as this trade. If there was an absolute freak coming out that was perceived as a can’t miss…then maybe you could sell this. But this QB class is questionable
