Branch is that premiere DB that everyone is looking for that can be an elite nickel, but can switch to safety in a pinch. That CJGJ versatility. Lots of teams are going to regret passing on him IMO.

He had a great game on MNF so he got a lot of national attention.
I liked Spoon a lot as a guy at #18 him OR Branch.
The fat that Spoon went 6 and we got Branch at #45.
Insane, not even a comparison there we got way better value.

from left to right is the defensive backs ability to limit separation on the receivers they are covering. So right is better
up-and-down is how often the defense back is targeted by quarterbacks. Up is more targeted

When you look at as many of the pre draft sites as i do an what the pretend GMs say an almost everyone had Branch around are `8 pick i would say on average pick 15.
I was not upset when we took a LB he also was a need. But Branch went into rd2 an I thought now we get him plug an play. We take a TE who also was graded high I just didn’t think at time was a need that early an boy was I wrong. Then we trad up few spots an get Branch i was wow .
All writers had him plug an play slot DB . Just put his name down an play him. We get him not sure why teams let him slide but I will say Thank You.

I think it was his pedestrian 40 time at the combine that caused him to drop half a round.
The weird thing is his on field MPH speed is some of the fastest in college football. He just doesn’t run a 40 well. Maybe has to work on his get off.

@JimLiohey JC Jackson is the most target CBs in this draw and allow some good separation for WR. But I’ m more shocked about Banks and Fulton. Didnt we see some guys here on the Fulton train shortly?
