Way to redeem yourself after that drop! Ballsy call by Ben Johnson. The Lions have actually used that play a few times in goal line situations with success every time. Brock Wright and Shane Zylstra scored in that formation before.

Watching the replay, buddy was flat flying. This is a dude that’s been going toe-to-toe with linemen and LB’s all game, then he pops for a 51 yarder. That’s gotta rank up there as a Lions highlight play for the year.

Bizarre to me: Jets players said based on our film they were expecting a QB sneak because that is what we normally do in that situation. What film were they watching? Also said they had never seen us run that play before yet we did and scored with it earlier in the year. Someone on this board said something about DC being outcoached this game. It does not sound like it. Add in the special teams difference between them and us and I would say Dan is doing OK. Not our best game by any stretch but I think the coaching is helping us get over the top.

St Brown was clearly the first read, but they played him perfect. If Wright doesn’t sell that block perfectly that play is a total failure and we are all mad as hell tonight. Hat tip to Brock Wright man
