Bryce Underwood looked good

Yes, Underwood tantalized us last night, after the spring game had me wondering what the fuss was. I know what the fuss is now. You’d think Sherrone left a lot of the game planning in the vault for next week against Oklahoma. Who knows what that game will bring, but it doesn’t look too big for him. Imma gonna count on a game 2 jump with all the advanced metrics I’m willing into existence for him.:sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

I think you could say, and I don’t think it’s even too early to claim, that the day Sherrone flipped Underwood greatly changed the trajectory of the Michigan football team. I don’t think I’m dreaming of championships here today without it.

Any any WRs who are watching, you’d be crazy not to join this ride. Say you watched the Texas game and then this game. Who you picking? Like seriously, suck it up and take the cold, this is your financial future we’re talking about.

Nice point - two to four years of highly anticipated production for and skill set really

More poise than we ever saw in Hooker.

That’s good. But Manning would have made it better. Then post it on Texas Longhorns board.

The talent is there, but there is still a lot of growing needed.

Probably needs to work on his footwork a little to eliminate the balls that sail on him.

His recievers need to catch some of those darts as well or he needs to learn when to take some heat off of it. There was quite a few when he was on the run he drilled it where only his guy could get it only for the guy to drop it. I will say he was impressive, there were a few awful plays mixed in by the team but he always seemed to make the throw when needed to bail them out.

He had a couple of wow throws where you can see how much talent he has. Gonna be a learning curve vs better competition though. Overall was a great 1st game. QB’s best friend remains handing it off and watching Haynes run wild.

Beating Oklahoma at their place would simply be awsome

Anthony Richardson got drafted 4th overall (LOL at Colts) and never showed the ability to play QB that this kid just did in his first game at 18 years old.

Yes, those sudden throws from weird angles should get better with experience and taking the microsecond to get in a better base.

There was a time when I thought he’d be coaching on that sideline.

I only remember 1 pass sailing on him and to me it was more him trying to get it over the linebackers to Klein who was routed behind them. I think he just put a little too much juice on it and it ended up going over Klein’s head as well. He also had 1 that was a laser beam that Klein had to try to reach back for. The announcers tried to make it sound like he put it behind him on purpose to protect him from an impending hit, but I personally think he was just a little off target on that one.

And then he had at least 2, maybe 3 drops that should’ve been completions.

He only had 10 incompletions and 5 of them I just described. So he may have had another couple that sailed on him and I just missed them.

Well Lions won’t be in position to draft him to be next in line to follow Goff. Bears will be in line to have him follow Caleb.

I believe what I saw was an incedible game from a true freshman who was in high school less than a year ago. The game is not too big for him, he has good processing skills and the courage to trust his instincts.

As he grows into a GREAT QB, he will learn the throws across his body can be made, but the success rate is minimal and the chance for a TO is high, these are things Underwood will learn as the year moves forward.

Great 1st game to start his college year. Don’t care if it was against a small school opponent, he will grow from this and only get better.
