I sense another roller coaster season with the fan base coming. The highs are too high and the lows will be too low.

Michigan will be in the national championship picture next year and possibly the favorites going into Underwood’s junior season.

To be fair kids back then didn’t have private quarterback coaches and complex schemes in high school. Henson would have absolutely been a #1 overall pick if he had just focused on football.

Last year was terrible by most standards, but we beat OSU and messed up their championship season. And that’s a great season. It really comes down to that game.

lol all jokes aside, I feel pretty confident if he doesn’t suffer from injuries, in due time he will be the #1 overall draft pick.
The last time I said this was probably about 20 years ago after watching Matthew Stafford play for the first time at Georgia (feel free to fact check how long ago that was, I’m throwing a dart here).

Can’t be any lower then lows of last year.
Hopefully the highs are higher though.
He has the talent to do all of those things, but he did just turn 18.
I kind of feel bad for the kid with all the expectations being put on him. He’s going to have some clunker games, and I hope the fan base doesn’t come down too hard on him due to the expectations being put on him.
I agree though with good coaching, and his talent, he is likely to be a first rounder someday. Someday.

I would imagine that he’s the betting favorite to go #1OA in 2028, right? Maybe Keelon Russell changes that. My understanding is that while Russell has more magic to him as a scrambler and a bit more accuracy that he has nowhere near the cannon that Underwood does.
So yeah I think first round is a pretty safe bet.
Totally forgot to mention in my previous freaking out about the guy, but LOVE the block he threw to free up Haynes for that TD too!

Saw some really good things, more long passing plays in that game than last year, lol.
He made some anticipation throws that were impressive, had a touch throw to Klein for the TD that was excellent.
Kid is young and there will be some growing pains but, he should be much more improved by end of November.
I think 9 - 11 wins are possible for them this season and hard to believe he just turned 18 a few weeks ago. From all reports kid is very humble and an extremely hard worker as well.
