$3M of that salary is paid by Cards via signing bonus.
None of the 2027 salary is guaranteed. He can be cut with 0 dollar hit.
He is worth one of our two 6 round picks in the 27 draft and a fifth in 28 draft. Otherwise it’s a pass in my book.
Edit: That makes it $650K a game for 12 games. $7.8Mill for the remaining 26 season and to get us in the dance.

I wonder if Bishop Fitzgerald is making any progress? Since we signed him off the Steelers PS how long do we have to keep him on the roster? I think he is the only guy we have that is a true FS.

No… that is the “ base salary”… the SB proration is not included.
His cap number is $19.2 million for the Cards in 2026… which includes the $14+ million base salary plus the SB and roster bonuses.

I stand corrected, you are correct @Phunnypharm, I’d still take him for the remainder of this season. He costs us nothing in 2027 if we choose to cut ties.
