Good find and appears to be a very accurate assessment.

He’s as good as gone.

He may not be playing well, but he certainly has the talent to affect the game when he wants to.

I liked Buggs out of college. Thought he should build muscle and lift weights (follow the Aaron Donald/Alim protocol) and he could have been a really good player on a consistent basis. Instead, he went the other way and apparently, he is happy with what he has and what he has become.

Mike Tomlin got rid of him for a reason it appears.

Good for him being happy. But now, please stop wasting Holmes’ and MCDCs’ time.

Paschal at DT with Bohanna.

Bohanna is someone with potential…does he want it? Is he being coached correctly?

Im not one to think NFL/PRO player should be "developing " how to stay low, explode, use strong hands. You learn this in juvenile football.

Any player that needs to be “develop” the basics of football and theyre getting paid?

Yeah…not for me.

Bohanna has played ahead of all the guys listed as backup DTs on the depth chart:

DT:

Alim McNeill: 47 (70%) — 3 (10%)
Benito Jones: 45 (67%) — 9 (30%)
Quinton Bohanna: 25 (37%)
Levi Onwuzurike: INACTIVE (healthy scratch)
Isaiah Buggs: INACTIVE (healthy scratch)
Brodric Martin: INACTIVE (healthy scratch)

The Lions have an interesting decision ahead of them. They have elevated Quinton Bohanna from the practice squad for the maximum of three times this season. That means if they want to continue to play him ahead of Onwuzurike, Buggs, and Martin, they will need to sign him to the 53-man roster.

If they do that, who gets cut?

Martin will be safe as a developmental draft pick. But what about Onwuzurike—a former second-round pick? What about Buggs, a player they raved over and inked to a two-year, $4.5 million deal this offseason? Either it’s time to unleash Buggs—who has been inactive for four of the last five games—or it’s likely time to let him go.

The only reason I think Buggs might survive is because he’s a veteran who has occasionally produced and Levi O hasn’t produced at all and his injury history remains a concern.

Buggs has had double the 2023 snap counts of Levi O:

He is gone.

In 3 games, Bohanna’s done more than Buggs in 5 games:

Not much production from Buggs in 2023:

And Levi O is almost https://youtu.be/Yt814cDRAfo?si=f0Rh_B3k-qMstgj-

I recall Buggs had the same sort of thing going on in Pittsburgh and they eventually let him walk as well.

Tomlin doesnt cut good football players

Draft

Sweat or Jenkins NT

Ruke Okroworo DT

Buggs, Benito, Levi O

We’ve gotten pretty much everything we gonna get down them

Put Paschal & Cominsky on blast

I like Benito & Bohana for depth

Ill ask you…

Kris Jenkins is a football player, but he is not a NT and he is not a 3T. He is like a Chris Wormley…

A JAG…

Sweat? Run–stopper. Slightly better pass rusher then Jordan Davis.

A JAG…

This draft is atrocious for DL/EDGE. I wouldn’t draft anyone highly because i would be expecting a difference-maker.

Theyre trying to promote Chop Robinson? This guy would be lucky to develop into a 8 sack guy

Sorry, he isnt it

The EDGE from OSU … JT…something…lacks explosion. He is a JAG in the NFL.

I only advocate real and productive players.

Lions should target DE/EDGE AJ Epenesna in FA…

Then get a corner.

Buggs has checked out this is him last weekend partying in Atlanta

If he is happy?

Good for him.

I would like that add an wouldn’t be top end cap either. Add him an CB Kristian Fulton Call it a day . Those to would improve team big time an contracts would fit. They would improve are D an same time allow us to resign are own players.

Now in draft you can add couple I hope studs an improve are depht.

He is gone so is Levi and probably Cominsky. They would save a lot of money.

Let Charles Harris and the okwara brothers to walk and probably bento Jones.

Redo that entire front.

That would do it.

This is a blow to a defensive line that was already shorthanded, at least coming into the season.

All the Reddit rumors may be true! Lol

He seems like the type of player that has a fragile ego and being inactive week one changed his entire attitude about this team. He’s the guy that will only ball out in control years.
