Deserved?

I think he is a legit borderline all-star right now.

I expect much bigger things in the future though.

Absolutely deserved, cut down on the TOs and he’s a top 10 player.

Also, let’s get this man his Robin!

earned it for sure.

He just needs to start taking over some games. He has a tendency to disappear. He’s good on both ends of the court and can be spectacular at times. As was said above, he has to cut down on the unforced turnovers. He needs to improve his 3 point shot. But I expected him to be an all-star with the way he’s played this year. If the team can get a Robin to pair with him at some point, he could be outstanding.

For sure. He really is slo mo Grant Hill.

Grant Hill was devastating, he was IMO to Kobe as Drexler was to Jordan. Similar players and talents, just not quite the insane will.

Ivey was becoming that.

They need a scoring stretch 4 as the 2nd guy. Like Giannis/Durant style.

I mean, everyone does, but they have Duren and Ivey as the athletic energy guys, plus whichever 3 and D SF wins between Ausar and Holland, with the other, Beasley as the
3 point bomber, Stew as the Rodman and Sasser as the Microwave as far as bench roles.

Grant Hill really pissed me off. He was basically the same player, a slashing scorer, until his contract year with the Pistons. Then he finally develops a noticeably improved jump shot his last year with us. After he decided to sign with Orlando I remember feeling pretty disappointed and betrayed. It was a slap in the face as it seemed his improved jump shot was only developed because he wanted out and wanted to get paid. It felt like he was content to just be a slasher / scorer with the Pistons - Which I admit he was great at. Luckily his greed forced Orlando to trade us Big Ben. Still one of the great trades in Detroit sports history. Who would’ve ever guessed Ben would be so good? I remember wanting to get John Amaechi in that trade and being disappointed we didn’t get him. Boy I was never so glad to be wrong.

I think Ivey can be that Robin

sucks that he got injured, and is likely out the season with the broken fibula.

That was a time when I was literally watching every Pistons game like it was baseball. That is the way to watch the NBA really. I was incredulous that Grant was leaving. Apparently, he thought he injured ankle was mismanaged and he was angry at the team. But in the end, I am so glad he went to Orlando. Getting Ben and Chucky back and hiriing Rick was really the start of an incredible and improbable run that I consider my most cherished sports memory. This Lions team actually has a lot of similarities with Stafford leaving and getting Goff back, then hiring Campbell

He started off the year playing well. Bickerstaff actually knows how to coach up young players. Monty was collecting a check.

Agreed. I love NBA playoff basketball when the Pistons are championship caliber. I’m hoping to see it at least once more before I’m permanently planted.

Bickerstaff is an excellent floor raiser, but has shown to struggle in the playoffs.

I think we stick with him for a couple more years atleast, build the team up to contention and see how it performs

if it still struggles, yeah we try to get a new HC, if he can take Detroit, say to to the conference final, will stick around for a hot minute.

Completely deserved, he’s carried this carcass of a team to a .500 record, miraculous really. This roster, without Cade and with Ivey injured, is the worst in the league.

Those Wizards may ask you to hold their beer.

And they’re going to get worse when they dump kuzma and poole here shortly

Cade with a monster night. A 40 burger.

Yeah, Dallas is a skeleton of itself due to some missing players, but Cade did what he needed to do.
