He’s a stud as a rusher at the college level. Will be interesting to see if his game translates. More of a finesse Avril type, not going to beat you with physicality. Can beat you with get off, bend, & COD

we should really snag this kid. to put pressure on opposing QB’s.
The downside to all the 1 year deals the Lions made is they will have less roster spots to store developmental types on the active roster this year. There is a good chance a player like this will be on the practice squad.

I saw he had another 15 sacks the year before… so 40.5 sacks in 2 seasons. Is that good!? lol

Yeah, he only had 1.7 sacks per game last season and the Lions had 1.4 sacks per game, so we wouldn’t really be gaining much imo.

He could be James Houston 2.0! I’d take Murphy late in the draft. 6th or 7th round. Low risk, could potentially hit the lotto, like Da Problem.

Maybe not, but late rounder, worth the risk in my book… one thing is for sure, Murphy needs to hit the weight room and needs a ton of development, but the production is worth a look see.
You need to take into account that some of the sacks he gets will be sacks guys like Hutch would have been getting. So if you do the math…our sack total would actually GO DOWN once that is accounted for.
