I think he is going to be good. I don’t want him to be good at the lions expense and bc i detest Bear fans the most out of any NFL fanbase. If the lions can be this decades Packers of the NFC north and the bears are stafford lions NFC North then im good w it. 100%. We are owed that by the football gods.
I’m glad they can’t figure it out, but the bears need to build their team to be like a bears team.
Running game and defense with a QB who is just good enough. I’m not saying ignore the position, but they could be very good if they accepted that peak bears QB is something in the Kirk cousins range.
I like your whole post.
ALOT.
I don’t know why more has not been made of this, esp. leading up to the draft. I think the Bears made a big mistake. We never would have drafted him, the villain would have traded out or picked Daniels or Maye for that matter and let him develop.
I’m sure Caleb will be a good QB but I never saw him as Generational. I also think he’s going to have some personality issues within an NFL locker room. And if he is great good luck on his next contract. It just felt like being at USC there was an intentional push by the media to make him the greatest prospect ever. He definitely has talent but the Bears tried building with skill positions and not in the trenches. Good luck with that. Bears fans were so obnoxious about how great he was going to be and we all said it’s going to take time.
Jayden Daniels is a player. He was very good at LSU, and he is a legit passer as well as a runner. My only real concerns with Daniels is his size. He is extremely light, and with his scrambling style, it will be very easy for him to get hurt. Especially with it being Washington, I have the real RG3 scares with Daniels. If he can play smart and avoid injury, Washington has a good offense.
The throw that Daniels threw to Scary Terry in the corner of the endzone to ice the game, that was not just an NFL throw, that was an elite NFL throw. Put it in a place where only his receiver is catching it, or it’s incomplete. Perfect location, perfect trajectory and touch. You simply can’t do it better than that.
I don’t if it’s because he played in the SEC but Jayden looks way more comfortable playing in the NFL than Caleb does. Maybe it’s coaching as well. I’ll never understand the Bears keeping Eberflus but that’s just my opinion.
