Caleb Williams is the next QB we can hate

And Caleb clearly doesn’t trust the OC, cause he changed the play, wasted 10 extra seconds and blew the game :joy:

They may be a bigger shitshow without Eberflus than they were with him.

That’s the hope. Eberflus could at least coach defense well.

I agree with the above. The former running back who 3 weeks ago was the passing game coordinator, then jumped to OC, and now to HC is now going to be in charge of calling all the shots. Not just playcalling, he has to get the offense going, the defense going and manage the game itself. In Chicago’s eyes, they just see “Oh, well Caleb did play better once we moved Brown to OC so that means he can take over everything now.” That’s a lot of change for one guy to handle, and a lot to put on his plate. Eberflus was basically the HC/DC, meaning Brown has to figure out how to run all 3 jobs in 9 days.

The best part of all of it, as mentioned above, Caleb changed the original OC call to his own call. Meaning, he already feels like he knows enough to call his own plays. Earlier this year, I remembered seeing Caleb doing audibles and I was thinking that was a mistake. With a rookie QB you need to keep the game simple for him. Instead you’ve got a rookie who has never seen NFL defenses, deciding to check out of plays and call something else. We’ve seen how that goes.

Now that Brown is going to be wearing all of the hats, I think Caleb is basically going to be calling his own offense. I will be sitting back with a nice bowl of popcorn to watch this show.

You gotta love the Bears management team.
Personally, I think they’re doing a magnificent job.

I think his most significant role was playing the scapegoat. Without him there holding that job down they might be an even bigger shit show.
