Yeah. Expected. Loved the guy at times. Wish him the best.

I could honestly not care less tbh

I think hes a great Slot Corner but he absolutely got torched the 2nd half of the season and cannot play outside at all.

Rather keep Ya-Sin then him, and prolly find someone else on the market if need be.

Dude balled out this year…. stepped up when asked, played out of position, never complained or made excuses, and stayed healthy.

Should be retained.

I 100% agree. This guy has value, you just can’t ask him to be CB1 or CB2 for weeks on end.

I want him back along with Ya-Sin and Maddox. We need more players with known value, not fewer.

Robertson was a major factor in the Lions winning the division in 2024, when he shut down Justin Jefferson in game 17. But, as others have said, he should be the 3rd or 4th guy, not a starter.

I think he does well as the 3rd DB in the slot, not outside.

This, Amik is a okay NB and good rotational piece but struggled with more snaps. Some team will pay what we shouldnt pay for him. rather sign Rock Saaa Yin for a cheap backup deal

It’s funny to hear people say this. When we first signed him (before he ever played a down) I had multiple debates from posters saying he couldn’t play the slot and he was too small for the outside.

Amik is small and smaller CBs need good safety help over the top.

I didn’t expect Amik to be back. He will get more in FA than we’re willing to pay. Besides I expect us to draft another CB.

He’s on John Madden’s “Marcus Davenport” Team with Emmanuel Moseley.

Hopefully they can work out a 2 or 3 year deal.

Amik played his ass off for us. He’s multiple and good at them all. Show me another CB that can go toe to toe with Jefferson.

Pay the man!

Some people say he didn’t do such a good job down the stretch. I gotta believe it’s tough to play CB between a line that isn’t getting pressure and god even knows who at safety

DJ Reed, TA, Kerby, BB go into 2026 as the likely starters. We have 3 young guys on the roster, I anticipate them drafting another DB at some point during the draft.

TA missed 9 starts. Reed missed 6 games. Kerby missed 11 games. Branch missed 5 games.

Amik & Rock both played in all 17 games.

In comparison, Chicago had a pair of S and a CB that played in all 17 games.

You flip our injuries with Chicago’s in the secondary and you could easily flip our records.

His game performance ratings were poor and opposing QBs loved to throw his way.

Time to move on.

Only comment is regarding Branch as I don’t think we see him til end of October mid November. What version we see is another question: see Alim’s return for a ref point.

Forgot about that. Was thinking he’d be back at beginning of season but he likely could miss most/all of camp and not be ready to start.

Maybe a FA safety to start the season?

Good! Get rid of him. One of the worst players on this team. He doesn’t cover, he doesnt tackle all he does is punch at the ball. Good riddens.

But he can. He has in the past. He just didn’t. In fact prior to coming over his tape was actually better outside than inside.

Most everyone went in the hole. As another example there’s a Derrick Barnes thread with most opining that he sucked. I thought he was pretty good and impactful through the first eight games or so and then his impact diminished quite a bit.

Unfortunately he didn’t spend enough time on the injury report this season to qualify for a new contract. Our #1 priority for DBs is unavailability. The more unavailable the better.
