UM and MSU playing small directional schools, see if UM shows signs of an offense…MSU should roll.
No idea how good Purdue is or what to expect out of ND.
B1G vs the two teams no one wanted…Rivalry week in Wa vs WaState and OR vs Oregon state
AL vs WI, AL Tide rolls in this one…
Massive game for UNLV today. They go into Lawrence and they are likely only a win at Corvallis away from making the college football playoff. Syracuse at home in two weeks as well.
AZ-KSU is a big one in the big12 tonight as well so really big Friday night. One of the most consequential early season Friday nights that I can remember.
Ohio State bye week…
Probably use it for an extra prep week for Nebraska in two months
Not technically a Big 12 game. Scheduled as a non-con awhile back and that’s how they kept it. Will be weird if one or the other goes on to win the conference.
That’s weird. Well two big 12 teams at least. I get that you are plugged in here bc you are rooting hard for the very real chance that the Pokes earn the automatic bid.
The Baylor-Utah game was also played as a non-conference game. It’s weird how this is happening more than once this year.
Before this year, the only time I had ever heard of something like this was when UNC and Wake Forest didn’t play each other for the first time in a long time in the conference, so they scheduled a non-conference game against each other.
That’s the landscape nowadays. These teams have to schedule these non-conference games so far in advance (which… why is that? Every other sport seems to be able to pull off an off-season schedule release), and the conferences are changing so fast, you get shit like this. Pretty stupid honestly, but this is what happens when you leave the teams themselves in charge of their own scheduling.
TheAthletic top ten games
- 20 Arizona vs 14 KSU

- 9 Oregon vs Oregon State
- 24 Boston College vs No 6 Missouri
- WVU vs Pitt
- Texas AM vs Florida
- 16LSU vs South Carolina
- Tulane vs 15 Oklahoma
- Wa State vs WA
Big mistake by KSU QB to end the half.
I’m surprisingly interested in this.
Sept 14th CFB; five players to watch…
Evan Stewart, WR, Oregon
Tyler Booker, G, Alabama
Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State
Joe Evans, DT, UTSA
Oregon- Oregon St. Will be intriguing.
Oregon is super talented, but has not looked good. Last I checked the spread was 16.5
If Oregon plays like they should, they’d win by 3+ scores. Problem is they haven’t been close to that, and Oregon St has looked decent. I like them to cover +16.5, but know if I bet a lot, Oregon will show up finally
@frm710 thanks for taking the time to put this thread together. One of my favorite Saturday threads every weekend
It’s a variation of last few years and top five prospects to watch, which I just saw is back in the News.
I love that his stock seems to be skyrocketing of late, saw him called a day 1 prospect on the Draft Network!
Dude’s a tackling fool, awesome in coverage, and as good as an athlete as you’ll find at the LB spot. I mean he chased down Xavier Worthy from behind in the Big 12 championship game last year. I try not to be overly biased about OSU guys, but man, there aren’t a lot of flaws in his game. He’s not the biggest guy on the field, but you wouldn’t know it watching him play.
Michigan redeeming themselves against a school I didn’t know existed.
Fickell made a fatal error going to the Air Raid. If you pivot a program’s fundamental identity you better not miss. And he did. Dude is toast. May be after 2025 but he’s a dead man walking IMO.
My childhood sports career appreciates this approach
