Okay, troll away. You’ve earned it. Next year if Ohio State goes north and beats Michigan I expect you guys to let them plant the flag on the block M while you shrug. cool cool.
I promise you I will not care.
I think Lashlee would do well there. I think Brohm would do well there. But would they go that far down the totem pole. Kenny Dillingham? It’s a gamble but he’s a baby. If you hit your set for thirty years.
Vrabel should be the first call. They need a culture change.
If OSU plants a flag on the block M, I am sure we will be pissed, and seething. However, if I see the Michigan team run out on the field and start throwing punches and try to rip down their flag, I am going to have a real problem with it.
If there is one thing I detest in sports, it’s fighting AFTER a game is over. If I was a coach, I’d be peeling paint off of walls. If you have that much fight left in you after a game, you owe your entire team an apology. You leave everything you have on the field, and if you lose, you own it. Either win the next one, or accept that you did your best and it wasn’t enough. No one said you would never experience disappointment in life.
LOL, yep still reading what I said correctly.
Been saying for a long time that Day is soft.
Cold weather, loss
sign stealing loss even though Day was the one who turned UM and still couldn’t prevent it.
LOL
All I said was UM responded differently to OR and TX planting their flag on the UM field than OSU did. But that offended you.
I don’t like the flag planting, but I don’t lose sleep over it, don’t want it to happen, then beat them on the field .
That’s a good question. Vrabel would be their Harbaugh, but I don’t know if he wants it. He didn’t in the past. Ohio State can afford to pay him 12-15 million a year though.
I agree with Vrabel. I think he burned bridges in the NFL, and got black balled of sorts. OSU will roll out the red carpet for him, he is an OSU star and he really did have Tennessee heading in a good direction until he lost a power struggle with the GM.
I’ve already seen reports Urban may want back in as well. Hell Spielman still has ties there. I wouldn’t be stunned if he decides he would like another consulting job at some point now that the Lions have been rebuilt.
I remember FSU stealing our sod back in 1991. Bastards.
The only time it really crossed the line for me was when that Alabama guy poisoned all of the trees at Auburn. That was not cool.
I would be shocked if that call hasn’t already been made.
UM is in Day’s head that is obvious. The play calls on offense were terrible. Everyone in the brewery in Athens were like, why are they running the ball into the one strength of UM’s defense…
I wouldn’t do it either, but I try to remember I’m not in my late teens or early 20s any more. These are young men still figuring it out. It doesn’t mean a fight should break out though.
Yep, I remember that game all too well. The FSU sod cemetary, although now there has to more FSU sod there than any other schools…
On the one hand I would be shocked if OSU hired Urban again, on the other hand, it would be so OSU to do so.
I know Urban retired on them citing his magical “health” issues, but was there anything else that went on there I am not remembering? Yes he was a disaster in the NFL, but a lot of college guys are. Urban was always a beast in the college game.
Is that still the case? I feel like Dan Campbell changed things for the better for guys like Vrabel. I think Dallas could use Vrabel also.
I really feel like Ryan Day deserves another chance.
As I remember it, Vrabel was doing a hell of a job at Tennessee, however he got into it with the GM and tried to back channel him and get him fired. Tennessee ownership backed the GM, and instead it was Vrabel who got fired. Vrabel has interviewed for HC jobs but hasn’t even gotten a real sniff. There’s speculation that NFL front offices are very wary on him.
Going to college and rebuilding his rep, especially with his alma mater could put him back in shape to return to the NFL in the future.
I can see Glenn getting hired at Dallas…imo one interview with JJ and he’ll be smitten with Aaron.
