Who did Calvin have at QB during his 1st 27 games?
A bunch of scrubs and Stafford as a rookie.
Not even Stafford as a rookie.
And, he labored on a team that went 0-16 in 2008.
For some reason I thought Calvin got hurt his rookie year and only played 10 games.

By the mid-1990s, Andre Rison was considered one of the best receivers in the NFL.
In fact, as he was being selected for five Pro Bowls, Rison’s reception numbers were on par, or better, than San Francisco receiver Jerry Rice.

Calvin and Jason Hanson should have been pro bowlers in 08. They both got screwed after great seasons by being lions.
Calvin was a first ballot HOFer, I doubt he’s worried about Pro Bowls. He did waste his career in Detroit though. I think even more than Barry did as Barry played on better teams. He didn’t even get the good version of Stafford, he got the fatty Matty version.
Calvin still better, but man did I want Metcalf and was mad when they didn’t take him.
I’m a huge Hanson fan. The problem is he played for the Lions his whole career and has no high pressure signature kicks under his belt. Literally Prater has more game winners than Hanson.
