The NFL saw a brief “crackdown" where several heads rolled at the same time. Now they are sweeping thru NBA and MLB. They will use most of their force to go after small time players to send a message. Very little energy will be spent on big time players, even though we know it is happening on that level as well.
One message that will be sent is that authorized betting agencies are in bed with the leagues…on purpose. The leagues share personal data on players to the agencies…and the agencies report back data to the leagues.
Let’s see if the Ohtani situation gets a closer look. That whole thing just stunk.
