You mentioned Idaho and it made me think about what I read about Boise state. A few years back a star WR for them left the team in the middle of the season as he didnt want to get injured because a NIL was waiting for him at the end of the year from another school. What’s next. Maybe a player switches team at halftime. It’s a complete crap show and had ruined a hundred year tradition for some schools.
As someone mentioned, time is needed to correct all this and we’ll see if that happens.

It depends on what you mean by “fixed” I suppose. If by “fixed” you mean a return to 1990s Big Ten play, then no, it won’t be “fixed”. We are never going back to that era. If by “fixed” you mean a salary cap, agreement on eligibility, rules to transfers, etc, then yes it will be fixed.
We have entered a new era of college sports and unfortunately dinosaurs are trying to figure it out. That has prolonged this more than it needed to be, but I don’t know why any of us expected any different. It will get resolved because the free for all is not sustainable for any side.
They overpaid for the current roster. These players definitely took advantage of the coaching vacancy and forced Whittingham to pay for a roster he didn’t really know. As far as the season goes he put together a very good coaching staff with a young talented team. I think a lot of people are excited to see what this roster can be with better coaching.
Would I be excited about Idaho? I wouldn’t say excited. I wasn’t excited for Indiana, but I was happy for the university and its long suffering fan base. They showed what good coaching with a solid roster can do in modern football.
People need to think a smaller version of the NFL and not college football twenty years ago. It’s definitely achievable. It’s just going to take some time. In the mean time I plan to just enjoy good football and take my kid down to a couple games.
Every year its getting worse. What are they going to do to fix it?
The conferences aren’t even in agreement right now. Athletes aren’t even speaking as one. You just have random athletes heading to court. There has to be collective bargaining between the athletes and whatever formation of the conferences they come up with. The people fighting this the whole time are still in charge and they are not the ones to fix it. I mean how many losses does the NCAA want to pile up before they pull their head out of their ass here? It’s not impossible to do, we will be watching it every Sunday here very soon.

The NCAA loves making up special employment rules that only apply to them and watching those rules get curb stomped by the first court to review it.
Yep. Listening to the sirius college channel yesterday, they were discussing the SEC probably moving to a negative view towards players coming back to the SEC.
At which point one of the hosts said, well until one of the schools takes the SEC to court, may be in the same conference but just a matter of when. It will be interesting to see how the SEC handles that day
