Anyone know if we have anyone that can play Left Tackle for more than one or two games if Decker goes down? Love the depth we have at the guard spot now, not so much on the outside.
Skipper is the backup LT, no?
I mean, he filled in a couple games when Decker was out and I thought he did fine. Has very limited experience and is over 30 years old. I sure hope if Decker goes down for the season that he is NOT our replacement for RT and LT.
skip and a much improved Manu will be the backup tackles, I think
From the Freep:
In 2020-21, Frazier started 11 games at left tackle for Florida International. He transferred to LSU as one of the top players in the portal in 2022, made starts at left guard, right guard and right tackle that season and served as the team’s full-time right guard the past two years.
Frazier, who allowed just four sacks in 39 career starts at LSU, according to the Lafayette Daily Advertiser, said he also served as the backup swing tackle last season and called joining the Lions “an unbelievable opportunity.”
“I just think the versatility speaks for itself when you watch my tape,” Frazier said. "If anything happens at any moment, I’m able to jump to the left side, left guard, right guard, right tackle, left tackle. The only position I haven’t played was center, but I’m open to that, too. …
I think Frazier can play RT and Sewell left.
That could be a huge asset in being active for games. They only usually dress 8 olinemen.
