when he asked to be traded? Look, as a long time suffering Lion’s fan I understand not to put the cart in front of the horse. But I must admit that this front office, and to a slightly lesser extent, the coaching staff, seems to have an inkling of a clue. I have faith that Holmes (yeah boy) is going to get this team competitive very quickly. The haul he got for Matt along with some fortunate and shrewd drafting has gotten my tingly parts all tingly again. Holmes has provided Lion Viagra at a time when our fandom peckers were as limp as over boiled asparagus. If we shock the world somehow this year Brad could win Executive of the Year.
I wish Stafford well as I am a huge fan and once again have to blame this long inept franchise for not doing enough to help with a special talent. But I do think Matt sold low on the Lions. Matt is a class act and I know he will sincerely wish good fortune on the Lions. My wet dream is that we build the Lions back up and sign Matt as a free agent in a couple of years, after McVay gets canned, and he leads us to the SB. One of the Hemsworth brothers can play Matt when it comes out on the big screen and hopefully we can stuff Jessica Simpson into a time machine to peel off 17 rough years to play Kelly. I will give this an R rating because Jessica / Kelly is going to have to show us the goods. Yep.
