We have Goff, Barnes, Jamo, Gibbs, LaPorta, TeSlaa, Arnold, Vaki, Mahogany, Wingo, and Ratledge due to trades Holmes made.
Brian Branch was also a trade.

I have no dawg in this fight but the original point was that Holmes is great at drafting but less so at trades. Your counter point was to name 10 drafted players and one guy that was actually traded for. I think you just made the other person’s point

All of those players I listed were acquired after Holmes traded up to target them.
It is no different than trading for a guy already in the NFL.

In fact… the silly part of your argument is that Zadarius was a “trade” for a current NFL player… yet the Lions only gave up a late 5th round puck for him to play on vet minimum salary.
I didn’t even mention that trade….. even though it did help the 2024 season.
The more impactful trades made during the draft influence the years down the road.

There were over 10 trades made after the Goff trade to arrive at this current roster.
