I mentioned this after the Chicago game: current players know how to avoid injuries. Have you ever seen Kerby Joseph leave the field? That’s what I’m talking about. Our current players who are injured—they often leave the field
We hid a lot of our defensive plays today to trick the Vikings. This is how we win: play full offense, let the opponent score, but get two turnovers at the end.
Off the top of my head …
— McNeil was a freak injury because he’s a 300-pound plus man who went airborne and landed funny on his knee.
— Aidan was a freak injury because of the collision with Paschal.
— Carlton Davis broke his jaw.
— Anzalone broke his forearm in the most passive, weird manner.
That isn’t injury prone. That’s bad luck.
Purdy overthrew one, and telegraphed the other. It was simply a reminder of why he was Mr. Irrelevant, not some defensive strategy.
Ipso facto, we got lucky.
We should be extremely concerned about our defense against Minnesota.
Nah. All we need is to count on the likes of Mayfield/Stafford/Darnold/whatever-playoff-QB to make terrible decisions under no pressure and we’ll be fine!
Yeah, lucky. Been a lot of that going on this year. Of course we should be concerned about the defense. We will have to for the rest of the year too. Minnesota is extremely concerned about our offense, because Brian Flores can’t stop it.
It will. I believe the Lions have more bullets in their guns. Nothing this season has come easy, and neither will the last game. Like Dan says, this is exactly what we wanted. Now let’s see what they can do.
What happens if I’m not extremely concerned?
Does it affect the game somehow?
I’m willing to be extremely concerned if it will help, but otherwise I think I’ll stick irrational confidence. I’m cool with it.
