Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes. Good cop Bad cop. I think that is what is going on as far as the tension we have heard of recently. Brad even embraces it calling himself the Villian
In all honesty if you are right than i am glad Brad won out on this one.
A good GM plays the role of villain. Let the coach keep the locker room and blame the GM for any unpopular moves the franchise has to make.
This is also Goodell’s role to the owners. They really make the decisions, and he takes the blame and gets paid handsomely for it.
He is a pain sponge.
DC said he wanted him back… Didn’t say he wanted him back at the number he was asking for… I want lots of shit I’m not willing to pay for ![]()
AA is a bitter ex
I would-have kept AA , he was making plays and always around the football.
AA on a 2 year $8.5 mil AAV extension or Barnes on his current 3 year contract? Seems like an easy decision to me.
Yeah, ever since Alex Anzalone broke his arm, he hasn’t been the same super aggressive player. It sucks though. It’s all business and he’s not one of the core players.
I mean I always thought this was the case.
So is Taylor Decker
TBH, this is a great example of Anzalone and his emotions. What is Dan suppose to say? “Hey brother, I want you back, but at a reduced salary, not at top 10 money” Of course Dan wants him back, he is a good player. Brad wanted him back as well, but they both wanted him back and the price point that makes sense for a 32 year old LB whose best years are behind him and he is wanting top 10 LB money.
Agreed, but at what price? It stinks that we had to walk away…but it’s the tough part of sustaining success.
