Dan Campbell: Jared Goff is massively underrated, reminds me of Drew Brees

there was that article the Athletic put out talked about that first year. Goff was continuously upset that Lynn couldn’t prepare and organize an offense.

Goff became friends with Ben Johnson and would vent about how ill prepared the overall game planning was

On a side note I just rewatched the first three seasons of Ted Lasso and realized Nate is basically Ben Johnson and Dan Campbell is Ted

Now we just need BJ to quit the Bears to rejoin the team to parallel that story arc. haha

I liked Chark when he could stay healthy. He gave us that deep sideline pass, the back shoulder chunk play and was capable of tracking the ball and using the sideline properly. We haven’t had that since

I was hoping Teslaa was that guy now but sounds like his development has hit a bump

Yea love and Presscott being way higher really shows the bias.

Love? Hell have 4 games in a row of amazing. 70% comp and 110+ rating. Then the next 2 55% comp and 70 rating, like he’s never played consistently well. And people say “oh its only his 4th year as a starter” and??? He still falls apart 5+ times a season.

Prescott like really? Because why? Because he takes 35+ attempts per game?

Goff has similar stats with fewer attempts, better comp% better success rate, better rating.

Oh and its an even year, so Dak is gonna get hurt again.

2020 missed 11 games

2022 missed 5 games

2024 missed 9 games

He has made some great plays in training camp clips I saw. Did have a few drops in preseason but I think he’s going to be good for us this year. Especially in the red zone.

I could have written your post word for word and obviously could not agree more

I joined the Den after the trade and tried assuring anyone who would listen Goff is alright, of course most thought I was “clinically insane”

I’m very happy for all of us the way it’s worked out, now we just need to cap off this year the way they should have a couple of years ago

Yuuup. The uniform negated a full point and a half, as well. …so he had that going for him.

BJ never stabbed Dan in the back like Nate did.

The Bears was the best opening for BJ that cycle. He took the best job he could get and I’m sure Dan was happy for him.

I do think BJ’s head wasn’t fully into the Washington game, but Dan should’ve noticed that before kickoff.

Looked like a lack of preparation in general… In my opinion, his head wasn’t in the game for the entire week before we faced off with Washington

I thought we were gonna beat those guys by three touchdowns

Brees got the Saints to Super Bowl

.

Goff went to a Super Bowl as well, and has many more years left. :man_shrugging:

You could’ve said Brees won a SB…

Every posters brain:
“I don’t think Goff is that good but the guys here will get mad so i better say i love him”
