Dan Campbell postgame comments is a problem

The little I read said that he blames himself for the fake punt and said he didn’t have his team ready to go. He’s 8-3 this year. I wouldn’t expect him to blow a gasket right after the game. The team looked tired today and like the Packers wanted it more. He’s got a few extra days to fix some issues.

The offensive line was fine today. They allowed some pressures but every team does. I truly don’t think many fans actually watch games around the league.

Yeah we had the “pressure king” in Trey Flowers and we all saw how that worked out. Our D-line has to get to the QB better, period. I dunno if it will help with that, but we should sign Suh asap.

I can’t remember which game it was when he came out at the pressure and then retracted some statements a day or two later.

As a coach, it is different watching from the sidelines… And you get totally different perspective from watching film

I guarantee you he’s looking at it more from a standpoint of how we can win.

We are not likely going to win with our defense

They need to strive for average right now, while the Punches people in the face.

If the offense hadn’t turned it over three times today, and did punch people in the face… We would’ve won that game… And truthfully, it probably wouldn’t have been close

Yes, we have issues on defense. Dan knows this. He’s speaking to what we have now, and how we can win… From where we are at… With what we are capable of now

Did you see the interview where he was talking about how he loved the guys who fought when they had lesser talent?

That’s how he thinks.

I agree with him.

I asked the question early in the game if Dan was capable of tough love when this team shat their pants. It appears the answer is a disappointing no. Being a hard ass coach all the time doesn’t work. Either does a Ra-Ra, everything is Joey Blueskies.

Yup, as bad as the defense played, it was still good enough to win without that drastic of a TO margin, just like last week.

100%.
Defense has been an issue almost as often as not. No surprise.
Turnovers have been the difference
Most turnovers have come from Goff.

The first time, I really got concerned that we weren’t going to win this game, is when I saw the look on Goff’s face on the sideline. He looked like a little kid That sees the bully walking towards him from across the lunchroom.

He keeps his composure, we win

All quarterbacks are a little bit OL dependent, to varying degrees.

Until we got some help on defense, we can’t win unless golf plays well (against good teams anyway )

Dan will never scold a player or his team in the media period. Behind close door is fare game.

Honestly, we’ve been winning but we’re not ready. If and when we win the superbowl it won’t be with Jared Goff

I watched the full postgame and didn’t come away any where near what you did.

Goff was not the reason we lost today or very little to do with Goff.

Completely disagree.

He was one of many reasons, but he was damn sure a reason

If we had an average defense today, we would’ve squeaked out a win.

If Geoff was his normal self, we would’ve slaughtered them

If our OL played a good game, we would’ve beaten them by at least 10

Well you are wrong for the most part.

I thought the DL was okay generating pressure. They just weren’t finishing.

Coverage is where we’re most in a bind IMO.

I disagree with this. Not Goff’s fault we lost but his ball security issues were an issue. Though in fairness the first one isn’t really on him. On the second he’s trying to do too much given his mobility issues. Just throw it away. He was doing such a good job of that for almost a full calendar year.

We had 3 TOs and 0-5 on 4th down, despite the start the defense actually kept us in the game.

Agreed. This could be a super bowl team if they catch a little lightning in a bottle at the right time, but as it stands today this is a second round tough out or a conference championship blowout loser.

The fumble he lost because a defender touched the ball with his fingernail was off putting. Watching jg “scramble” is painful. In an ideal scenario he drops back and delivers, which he’s excellent at. Problem is, eleven guys are trying to prevent that. I’m pretty down on everything we’ve got going right now, I’ll come around but this was a turd

Yeah. With a lot of QBs the secondary action is where they go for the kill with Goff it needs to be about avoiding mistakes.
