Here is another gem with insights behind the scenes we rarely get. I’ve really come to appreciate Dan the last 3 years. Great guy and super perceptive.

It’s because we were WAY better than our record showed at the end of the season.
Dan gives the bikes more credit than I do for sure. I spoke with a Vikings fan last week and he loves their coaches. I’m not sold on anything Vikings right now.
Haven’t lost 2 in a row in 18 games.

Love hearing about the front offices too. Eisner, Sheila, office LB (spielman is the heart of that).
In summary… I love this organization from top to bottom….Sheila, Brad, office LB’r, Dan, OC, DC, ol coach, assistants, Fraley, the pro bowlers, the role players, our podcasters, the commentators…AND…You Guys

I’ll throw it out there… Dan is a national treasure (at least in Detroit). He’s this rare combination of a Detroit Lions fan who happens to be amazing at his job. That’s hard to find. I’d put Dan against any other play-by-play guy in this league. Nobody does it like Dan. His game awareness and the way he has people feeding him info at all times is amazing. He’s earned every penny he’s made working for FOX2 and the Lions organization twice over. And the best part, still such a humble guy.
I bet he pays for every steak he eats in this city; but by choice, not because he has to.

Living outside of MI for quite a long time, there have been periods where I’ve chosen or been forced to listen to Lion games old-style via internet radio!
Waxing poetic a bit here, but there’s something nice about listening to a game on radio without the visual from time to time. It takes you back to a time driving in the car listening to your favorite team en route to or from some other place… or just sitting around drinking some beers with buds. You need to use your imagination a lot more for sure when listening to the radio.
A sports radio broadcaster needs a different skill set to shine and connect. DM is pretty good at what he does and an enthusiastic voice for this team. Catch a radio game some time, just for the fk of it!

I’m not so sure how i feel about the artificial turf in this organization. So the “bottom” could use a little work. But otherwise, I agree with most of your statement. 
I trust there’s a Dan Miller Rick James reference in the youtube video?
