Davenport Presser

Hard not to like this guy…

I know I’ve made a lot of jokes but dude is pretty authentic and talented when on the field.

Wish him the best.

If he stays healthy he will have a monster year and get paid next season.

one thing I noticed is this guy is Super humble, very likable player, mild-mannered, and smart.

He’s a major talent and seems like a good guy. If he could miraculously stay healthy for more than half a season, this will be a steal of a contract.

With that said, Holmes HAS TO pick up another pass rusher of at least some significance.

I’d settle for staying healthy for all of the playoff games. Maybe IR him with an Iffy injury and have him miraculously healed in time for the playoffs.

Spot on Wolf… Someone bless that man.

Unless is a printing error he has lost 20 pounds. new listing on Lion Sight…6-6 285 In todays write up at presser they wrote Davenport (6-6, 265) I would like to see him at this weight an Hutch close to same size an weight. Not sure which it is.

He didn’t look like a 285 lb player last year. That’d be 5 lbs less than Levi. No way.

His last two injuries took him out for the most games. The bicep and tricep tears. If the dude pulls off a miracle healthy season he is still in his prime. If not he cost us a roster spot more than anything. You can tell that football is healing for him mentally. Which means he loves it. I have said i want to save him for the playoffs. But hopefully after the draft he is a rotational piece to keep him fresh.

Levi was 310 in camp last year. He talked about how he felt adding the weight in interviews. Brad mentioned it too. I dont know if he lost some during the season. But levi at 285/290 has no belly. He grew one this year.

Unfinished business.

Khalil Mack said the same thing about remaining with the Chargers.

Anything Davenport can bring is welcome but not to be counted upon.

So there’s another shoe to drop at DE. We’ll see.

Really was a great interview. Hope the best for him.

Totally agree. Relatively low risk given the money we have invested and the ceiling of the guy if he stays healthy.

The interview was funny in that none of the questions seemed easy at all. It’s like we went from the dungeon of doom to a bunch of deep thinkers trying to write in-depth stories on his personal struggles and what it means to be a Lion. LOL

Poor guy. He was so thrilled to end that session.

From what I understand Davenport is a reader. Of books. Gasp, I know.

So maybe it’s respect for a thoughtful guy who is also a pro football player.
