This is exactly the type of hire Dan would make and exactly what we don’t want.
Makes a difference if Dan is calling plays. Then having someone he knows and trusts matters a lot more. Though if we hired David’s wife instead we’d have a path to comp picks and a way to recruit Christian Gonzales if he ever hit FA.
That’s the rub.
If we hire Blough it signals that Dan will remain the play caller. I don’t think its best for the team for Dan to call plays.
