David Blough for OC?

Can someone explain to me the infatuation with Daboll?

It’s a name people have heard before.

For a few, there’s a bit more nuance, but it’s 80+% the heuristic of familiarity=quality.

Dan Quinn says Blough is a super talented guy and blocked him taking 3 interviews last cycle. I don’t think this part of your post is necessarily true.

The longer this goes, the more comfortable I am with David…

  • he knows the team and it personnel
  • He knows the basic scheme
  • He now has a year or so in the coaching world and hasn’t been fired

I prefer the underdog

He runs a power run game mixed with heavy play action

He also only has had success with dual threat QBs which Goff runs like he shit himself

I didn’t say egomaniac. I said ego overrides pragmatism at times. I think two things can be true at the same time. One that DC has every right to look at those stats under his playcalling / offensive design and say ā€œwe’re good.ā€ Also, he’s going to limit our ability to get a top level OC candidate because he’s likely going to micromanage the offense.

I, admittedly, haven’t followed him closely. Has he had much success outside of Josh Allen?
