David Tepper "enamored" with Ben Johnson

Neither would I. Not as creative as Ben but competent and would work well with JG. I’d guess that’s plan B.

former player, right?
Also ..what about Brunell or Fraley?

I like the idea of keeping Fraley w/the OL, personally…I think he’s AMAZING

Yep. 14 yr. NFL career. 4 years as an OC. 2 of those as a playcaller. I think he also called plays for Indy some of the time he was HC.

Interim HC’s almost never get the gig.

The panthers are interviewing Sean Payton and DeMeco Ryans this week. They also virtually interviewed Shane Steichen on Saturday and will be able to meet with him in person when the eagles playoff run ends.

Definitely some strong opposition for Ben in Carolina. I know they talked to Wilks, Caldwell and Reich, too.

*as previously mentioned by others in this thread, Sean Payton would require a trade which impacts the panthers interest, I’m sure.

I live in NC and the players love Wilks. Not sure how that dynamic plays out. Would they move some of those players??? Holmes cut ties with a lot of our players from the previous regime.

They already gave permission for the interview. They might ask for a pretty penny though.

Frank Reich as OC would be really good news. He and Campbell together would make for a great offense.

I definitely have mixed feelings about Reich as an OC. It went so well in Philly and so bad in Indianapolis. He definitely wouldn’t be my first choice but his upside is very high.

Some guys are better coordinators when they don’t have to deal with everything a HC deals with. Maybe that was the case here?

Pay money for the Bountygate guy? Yeah right. Dude should have got a lifetime suspension.

I think Ben’s gonna stay, men.
Reich was a QB too, so there’s that. Just feels like a. longshot, to me.

The Panthers are a QB away from winning now. They have talent at all levels outside of QB. RB, WR, TE, OL, DT, DE, LB, CB and S.

Yep. And that division seems poised to go from awful to really awful.

To be honest it’s hard to imagine Ben getting a better opportunity than that one if it comes to fruition.
