Day 3 Draft Thread: Keep It Here

Keep it here.

This thread is now open. Lions don’t pick until 153, so not sure how busy this thread or the draft chat will be. But feel free to jump in.

In hindsight, I think I’m going to keep the chat closed for today given the delay before Detroit’s picks. Don’t want to divide the posts that much.

After 2 days of picks…We are going to the super bowl aren’t we!?

Rather not trade Swift and his low cap number for a late round pick. But I also don’t feel you keep around players who don’t want to be here. Too bad Swift doesn’t believe he needs to earn his touches.

I’d rather trade him for an out of sight, out of mind 2024 pick a round earlier than whatever the best late round offer is for this years draft.

He needs to be traded. If our 12th overall pick is only going to be getting a handful of touches per game, it’s really a bad move.

Trade Swift for whatever at this point. I would probably prefer to ship him to the Bengals so he doesn’t beat us in playoffs playing with Philly or Dallas.

He looks like he knows what he’s talking about

Yea, I see that point. He’s gotta be on the field for 60-70% of the snaps being picked that high. Although half of those snaps may not be at RB. He’s playing out wide, in the slot and in the backfield on his college tape. I think he’s a lot more of a WR than many fans think when they just see the RB beside his name.

We have now drafted 3 of “my guys” that are part of a list of 10-15 players I wanted to come away with (Gibbs, Campbell and Branch). Hopefully today we can add another one. The easiest one to grab might be this guy:

He’s getting dealt today imo. Holmes is just going to wait until a team interested is on the clock and who’s available. He doesn’t have ammo to move around, so I think he’s got a few potential deals already in place waiting to pull the trigger. First up is the Bengals with their 4th round pick.

He’d be a good pick for sure.

Phillips III, Scott, Zavala, Jones, AA, McFadden, Rush, Warren, Trice, Palmer, Perry…

Lot’s of good players left. This 4th to 5th area was always the sweet spot for me.

He’d be fun in that offense. For the three games he’s healthy of course. Though comtract year …

Yea, most likely. I think some teams are hesitant to trade for a RB so far because their is still good RB’s on the board who you get for 4 years on a rookie deal.

I also like Parker Washington.

Holy shit Noah Sewell is still on the board! You guys called it.
