Justin Coleman is a solid DB but he’s being embarrassed by being left one on one over and over.
If the money is close why are you coming to sign up that in Detroit of all places.

Again, you forget what it was like before Slay and how long it took to get a good CB here. We couldn’t draft a decent CB, and we couldn’t pay enough to get a good FA…they don’t want to come here!
Have you not noticed that we have to over pay for every decent FA that comes to this team? Nobody wants to be part of a perennial loser, in a cold climate, and a high tax state!
If you’re going to play for a loser, Miami or Jacksonville, will over pay just as much, and you have sunshine, warmth, and low taxes.

I think the Lions woulda beat the Redskins too. That woulda made 'em 7-4-1 instead 3-8-1 that they are now. These guys have been in every game since the Vikings and even then we played them even for 3 qtrs or so. Plus they got ■■■■■■ in GB.
Which isn’t to say the defense hasn’t sucked, giving up lead after lead like they have. IMHO, you ain’t a serious contender if you can’t hold a lead against Washington and the effing Bears.

Right, The defense has sucked bro. I’m not ever going to argue that point. What does suck is if we had some kind of pass rush then we have flustered trib and cousins.
Games don’t happen in a vacuum and considering we lost to the Raiders with Matt Stafford I don’t see how any wins except the Washington one gets chalked up or counted with Stafford.
The defense wasn’t a sieve versus Washington and Driskel literally threw the game away.
There isn’t any make it take it in football and the defense has folded everytime it needed to hold against above average defenses and even some below average ones.
You know what bothers me the most? They’re in the middle of the 2nd year of Patricia’s defense and we still see RBs and TEs that are uncovered. WTF is up with that? It’s one thing to get best by a superior player that outplayed your guy, the other teams have good players too and you’re gonna get beat some times. But it shouldn’t be an easy pitch and catch, somebody blew an assignment and IMHO that shouldn’t happen at this point of the season, or am I wrong?

First and foremost, I’ve mostly come around to your side. Though I don’t think MP will be fired I’d prefer us to move on.
The one thing that I think needs to improve on defense for us to have any chance at success is communication. Ours seems to be terrible. It’s terrible in the secondary after the snap and it’s terrible in between plays in terms of getting the right personnel on the field.

If we can pry Mayo from New England it might be able to save this even if it’s being a good cop to Patricia’s bad cop.
He has skins on the wall and today’s players will buy into that just off of him being a recent player more than a 70 year old man that was a dline coach for a mediorce college team.
That would be great. I’d love to pry Jim Leonard away from Wisconsin. If he has NFL HC ambitions it might be possible

I just looked it up, him and Belichick’s kid are basically the DC in New England now.
So yeah I don’t see him packing up his family for what’s basically one and done if he can’t save this regime.
That’s something else I’m worried about whose going to sign up to be a DC here. Basically if you can’t save this in one year you are getting the boot.
I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Paul is still here next year

I do think people are underrating how significant of a development that might be. If Bo finishes with 550-600 yards on the ground then we go into next year with our best running game situation since Barry retired

Maybe the issue these guys have is with the scam because of the lack pass rush. And the more they get sold out the more disgruntled there getting. I don’t think fans are the only ones losing faith or questioning the whole don’t rush the passer scam.

one of our opponents said he was going through progressions 2 and 3 times. Any QB in the NFL will beat you like that. No CB can defend like that.
DL is hurting everyone. Remember how much more effective Kenard was early on? DL is getting worse, so does everything else. JRM was even holding his own before Davis came back.
Bring back the same players with different coaches, you’ll see more of the same crap.
Bring back the same coaches with different players and you’ll see marked improvement.
